The Lone Traveller

The lone traveller trudges on,
Amidst the vehicles blowing their horn.
Through the bustle and the crowd,
the sounds in her ears ringing loud.
She looks around and finds people together,
wants to speak to someone to feel lighter.
Then comes the wind, bringing along a feather,
Showing signs of uncertain weather.
The traveller walks on with her eyes set afar,
those eyes, they tell tales of some deep scar
that made the traveller a lonely one,
brought in the rain and took away the sun.
